Here you will find some of the current dogs that are available for adoption. All of the dogs were rescued from a local pound or shelter, or have come to us directly from their previous homes. While in our care the dogs are kept in foster homes and are treated as loved pets for the duration of their stay with us. Each dog has been evaluated and temperament tested to help us match them with the most suitable new home. The dogs also receive medical treatment needed including updated vaccinations, and are surgically altered. We also work with each dog and their obedience and house training if needed to help them on their way to being respected and capable companions. Some of the pets, especially those coming from an institutionalized environment may have ongoing medical or training issues which will be fully disclosed in the dog's bio.
Donations for our adoptable pets are used to help offset medical costs and other treatments the dogs may need such as parasite control or necessary grooming, for pull fees and transporting costs, and for general care and maintenance of the dogs.
Although our primary concern is for canine companions we do aim to help any companion animal in need.

Things to Consider Before Applying to Adopt
The overwhelming majority of rescued dogs are not puppies. In fact, most are 2 -3 years old, and up. When you adopt a rescued dog, you are saving more than one life, you are making room and helping to pay the costs to rescue another dog which will give them a second chance for a happy future as well.
In deciding what type of dog you should get, consider what you are looking for in your future canine companion. Is he going to be a playmate for the children, or is his main job going to be to accompany an older person on quiet walks? Do you want him to go jogging with you, or are you looking for a lap dog? Loving him, and living with him should be rewarding for you and your new companion.
Although we do get purebred dogs coming into rescue, the majority of dogs are of a mixed breeding but you can still consider particular breeds when you are thinking of adopting as our associates can give you a very educated guess at the their lineage.
For a dog waiting for his "forever home", any time is a good time to be adopted. Don't however let him down by bringing him home, and then deciding for some reason that adopting a canine companion was not for you. Dogs take lots of care and attention, and that means time, especially when they first come home. Please take the time prior to adopting to ensure that you have considered the various life changes in your future and that you will still be able to make the commitment to your new canine friend.
